As you probably already know, FlashDen is just started accepting Flex files into the library. Now we’re going to run a competition giving a total of $850 to authors who upload Flex files!

The competition

Within the Flex category we have 13 subcategories. We’re going to give $50 to the author of the first file accepted in each subcategory.

In addition to the 13 $50 prizes we’re also going to give away $200 for the file we (LanceSnider and the reviewers) think is the best.

When does the competition start?

Rules

Only files uploaded to the Flex category will be considered.

Your file must be uploaded by Friday May 22nd. If no file is uploaded to a particular category by that date, no prize will be awarded for that category.

Files uploaded prior to the deadline, but accepted afterward will still be eligible for the competition.

Files must be accepted to be eligible. Rejected files will not be considered.

Judging

Of course, judging does not apply to the eight $50 prizes as it’s just a race to have your file accepted first. Judging for the the $200 prize will be based solely on what file the reviewers and I (Lance) think is the best.

May I Enter More Than Once?

Of course. Upload as many files as you like. Even if you don’t win a prize, uploading new files will still make you money. Unlike most competitions, with this one you can win more than once! Each author can win a maximum of three prizes. If an author were to be the first in two different categories and also win the “coolest file” prize, that author would win $300.

The same file cannot be both the $200 prize winner and a $50 prize winner. If the file that wins the $200 prize also happens to be the first uploaded in that category, the $50 prize for that category will default to the second item uploaded.

When Will the Winners Be Announced?

Sometime within a week of May 22nd.

Terms and Conditions

• Entry is open to all who are NOT Envato employees.
• Any Flex file submitted May 22nd to be eligible.
• Files MUST be accepted to be eligible.
• Payment to the winners will be made via Paypal and will be in US dollars.
• The winners will be selected solely at the discretion of FlashDen.net and its staff.
• All decisions are final.
